Welcome to Team Sankalp! We are a group of young, passionate individuals from Chamurchi, West Bengal, united by a single goal: to build a better community. Founded on February 11, 2024, our grassroots NGO is a movement driven by the determination of 74 dedicated members. We’re on a mission to empower our society through education, environmental action, and social awareness. Join us as we work together to create a brighter, greener, and more educated future for everyone.
Planting a Greener Tomorrow
Over the past year, our team has planted and distributed more than 11,000 trees across Chamurchi. This is our pledge to a healthier environment and a more sustainable future for generations to come.
A Rally for a Corruption-Free World
We believe in a transparent and just society. Our members organized a powerful rally to raise awareness and inspire our community to stand together for a corruption-free world.
Spreading Warmth, One Garment at a Time
Compassion is at the heart of what we do. Our team collected and distributed clothes to those in need, bringing comfort and dignity to many families in our area.
Fighting for a Drug-Free Generation
Our “No Drugs Campaign” aims to protect our youth from the dangers of substance abuse. We conduct awareness programs to help build a stronger, healthier, and drug-free community.
Empowering Students with Free Coaching
To support the academic success of our students, we provide free coaching for Madhyamik (MP) and Higher Secondary (HS) students. Our goal is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to excel, regardless of their financial background.
Promoting Education
We believe that education is the foundation of a bright future. We organize quizzes and rallies to promote learning and inspire a love for knowledge among the youth.

Welcome to the official website of Team Sankalp, a youth-led NGO dedicated to creating positive change in our community. Founded on February 11, 2024, by a group of passionate young boys and girls from Chamurchi, Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, our name, “Sankalp,” means “pledge” or “determination.” It perfectly reflects our commitment to making our society a better place for everyone.
Driven by a shared vision, we’ve come together to address critical issues in our region, focusing on education, environmental sustainability, and community welfare. We believe that by working together, we can empower our community and build a brighter future. Our organization is built on the strength and dedication of our 74 members, who pool their own resources to fund our initiatives, ensuring that our work is truly a grassroots effort.
Our Mission & Values
Our mission is to foster a more educated, environmentally conscious, and empowered community in Chamurchi and its surrounding areas. We strive to achieve this by spreading awareness, providing support, and implementing impactful projects that create lasting positive change. We are committed to inspiring others to join us in our journey of social transformation.
Our Objectives
Promote Education:
We aim to ensure that every child has access to quality education. We do this by raising awareness about the importance of schooling, assisting government schools to improve their infrastructure and performance, and offering free educational support through coaching and other programs. We want to help government schools thrive so they don’t have to close in the future.
Protect the Environment:
We are dedicated to creating a greener and cleaner community. We organize various programs and rallies to raise awareness about cleanliness. Our most significant achievement in this area has been planting over 10,000 trees in a single year and distributing an additional 1,000 trees to local residents to promote reforestation.
Community Empowerment:
Through our initiatives, we seek to empower individuals and promote social awareness. We conduct quizzes and rallies to engage the community, encouraging a spirit of learning and active participation in local development.
